In a small bowl pour warm milk and water, 1 tablespoon of sugar and sprinkle yeast on it. Mix and let stand until the yeast has dissolved and doubled. Put in a large bowl add half of the flour, mix and cover with cling film, let stand 40 minutes or until doubled.
