Healthy tahini breakfast mix with homemade grape syrup
Last weekend my dear cousin came to Amsterdam straight from exotic Istanbul. We talked a bit about food and she mentioned, that some of her friends there eat tahini mixed with grape syrup for breakfast. What a great idea! I’ve decided to make it this week. Today I share with you my own version of this amazing dish. It’s vegan, gluten-free and full of vitamins. Try it with crispy rice cakes or… pancakes!

INGREDIENTS
breakfast mix
2 tbsp grape syrup
4 tbsp tahini paste (I use a liquid one)
2 tbsp liquid honey
 
grape syrup
500g dark grapes
a pinch of cinnamon
1 cup water
optionally: 1,5g stevia

DIRECTIONS

Make the syrup at least one day before serving: cook grapes without peeling them with a cup of water and cinnamon. Bring the mixture to boil and then leave on a low heat for about an hour. Add some more water if necessary. At the end strain the dark warm syrup through a sieve. Pour it into a jar and wait till it cools down. Store it in the fridge.

In the morning place tahini, homemade grape syrup and liquid honey in a small bowl. Mix them gently and eat with great pleasure:)
